FRESH ADIDAS: adidas Blue Boost/ adidas Rod Laver & Superstar 80s "Remastered" Pack/ adidas Los Angeles "Dark Blue"/ adidas Originals' Superstar 80s Receives the Star Wars Treatment/ adidas Skateboarding Suciu ADV
adidas drops yet another rendition of sneaker to utilize the Boost sole, this time on a pair under its fashion-driven Blue line. Fusing technology and techniques acquired from the time of the Tubular and the support and comfort attributed from the Boost sole, the Blue Boosts could very well be a match made in athletic-lifestyle heaven. Two colorways have been revealed so far — a conservative black/white, and a grey/blue/red for more open-minded individuals — and are now available at stores like SUPPA.
The Rod Laver and the Superstar 80s are, respectively, two of the most iconic and wearable silhouettes adidas claims in its roster. We keep this in mind as the brand drops a surprise release with two revisions of both sneakers, offering both as a part of the “Remastered” pack. The collection finds both silhouettes touched with fashion detailing previously seen in upscale collaborations such as Rick Owens or Yohji Yamamoto’s adidas lines. The Rod Laver “Remastered” is touched with suede and leather trim through the upper and built on a thick off-white outsole. Elsewhere, the Superstar 80s is stripped of its hallmark three sidestripes, elongated with an exaggerated soccer-style tongue and features a ridged outsole at the bottom. Both of these groundbreaking iterations are available now at SUPPA – stay tuned for details of a wider release.
adidas Originals presents a new iteration of its lightweight Los Angeles silhouette, presenting a universally wearable iteration nicknamed “Dark Blue.” The sneaker is outfitted with deep blue mesh throughout the paneled upper, which is accented by welded matte TPU logo striping at the sides. A cushy dark blue EVA midsole provides supreme cushioning here, while a durable Continental® rubber outsole completes this offering from adidas Originals. Pick up this “Dark Blue” release available now at select retailers such as Sneaker Politics for $100 USD.
Amidst all the celebratory creations in anticipation for the upcoming seventh episode, adidas Originals unveils a new addition to its mi adidas customization lineup. The latest Three Stripes silhouette to receive the Star Wars treatment is the iconic Superstar 80s silhouette, which can be personalized using all-over prints, laces, exclusive lace-locks and even custom-molded Darth Vader and Stormtrooper shells. Available in both adult and youth sizes, head over to miadidas to create a one-of-a-kind version of the throwback sneaker.
In 2013, Mark Suciu got a place on the adidas Skateboarding squad. Herald for his fierce approach, Suciu soon became the team’s marquee skateboarder. Now, with the help of Suciu, adidas has unveiled the pro skater’s signature shoe. The performance-driven design draws inspiration from Suciu’s infatuation with Gothic architecture, making for a sophisticated yet durable silhouette prepped for abrasion. The sneaker features a coffee brown upper, with signature trefoil and Stripes taking on the tongue and heel. A lightweight cupsole provides cushioning and an ADIPRENE midsole offers support and board control for the rider, while the asymmetrical collar provides an all-over ankle support. The adidas Skateboarding Suciu ADV will be available in four colorways at select adidas retailers from July 31
