That there is a far reaching connection between fashion and rap we all know and that rappers love talking about their latest purchases in the worlds of housing, art, automotive and also fashion, is also nothing new. GQ (with data from Genius) took a closer look at the popularity of certain fashion designers in rap music and put together some interesting stats.

Here below you find the most mentioned designers in rap songs over the last 15 years, in order of frequency of mentions. While overall there might not be any surprises here, it is pretty amazing to see Gucci lead the stats, showing how much of a symbol for luxury the brand still is today even if it might feel a little less relevant than 15 years ago.
