FRESH KICKS: ASICS GEL-Lyte V White/Cement/ New Balance 577 "Napes" Pack/ Nike Air Force 1 CMFT Lux "Red"/ Nike Air Python PRM "Metallic Tawny"
After delivering a similar version of the GEL-Lyte III at the beginning of the summer, here ASICS delivers a fresh iteration of the crowd-favorite GEL-Lyte V. The silhouette was conspicuously missing a white version for the season, but here the footwear label showcases a fresh combination of pristine white and light grey just in time for summer. The slick leather upper rests atop a clean white midsole, which is interrupted by a dope speckled section towards the heel. Pick up this iteration of the GEL-Lyte V at retailers such as Rock City Kicks.
New Balance‘s newly released”Napes” pack is inspired by the colorful tools and the rugged terrain that climbers use and encounter. The pack is named after the Napes Needle, which is a prominent rock pinnacle in the English Lake District that even the most experienced climbers have trouble conquering. With colorful suede and rip-stop overlays, the shoe pays homage to avid climbers with its outdoor-friendly aesthetic. Set atop New Balance’s ENCAP sole, the shoe will be available at select New Balance retailers such as Sneaker Baas, beginning July 27.
Following the release of a hotly-received black iteration, the Nike Air Force 1 CMFT Lux silhouette is back — this time in a burning hot red colorway. Dressed in all-over bright red with gold accents in the buckle, the shoe is set atop a CMFT Lux Lunarlon cushioning system in translucent blue. The upper is comprised of innovative Hyperfuse woven technology, offering a comfortable and lightweight ride. This colorway was exclusively released in Japan, but stay tuned for a Stateside release soon.
Having already received a pearlescent makeover, Nike’s Air Python now gets the premium iridescent treatment in the form of a brand new “Metallic Tawny” rendition of the Air Jordan 2-esque ’80s retro. Ditching the “Pearl” pair’s blue-tinged outsole in favor of a milky white look, the design sees orangey tawny-colored piping and matching hits to the lining and eyestay as an iridescent treatment to the scaly leather upper highlights the release. Available now from Tokyo’s Kinetics, the kicks are slated for Fall 2015 at additional Nike Sportswear stockists across the globe.
