FRESH KICKS: Nike Air Max 90 Ultra BR "Light Photo Blue"/ A Closer Look at the Nike LeBron 12 EXT “Rubber City”/ ASICS GEL-Lyte V Dark Blue/Light Grey/ 24 Kilates x Diadora N.9000 "Toro"/ Nike Free Hypervenom Mid Black/Hot Lava
Nike releases a new colorway for the modern iteration of the Air Max 90 silhouette with the Air Max 90 Ultra BR “Light Photo Blue.” The updated Air Max 90 is made up of synthetic materials and a lightweight flexible sole and is a slimmer version of its original counterpart. It features a solid, bright blue perforated upper with darker blue accents found throughout the Swoosh and Nike logos on the side, heel tab and tongue patch, and a crisp white midsole. The Nike Air Max 90 Ultra BR “Light Photo Blue” can be purchased for $130 USD via call to order on Bows and Arrows.
Here’s a closer look at the recently unveiled Nike LeBron 12 EXT “Rubber City.” The silhouette is predominantly black, with a new Hyperposite upper touting a tread-like design as opposed to the Megafuse upper used on other LeBron 12 EXT’s. Inspired by the city of Akron as well as the tire company Goodyear, the aptly named sneaker features a chrome Nike Swoosh over the Hyperposite upper, complemented by a translucent outsole. The heel tab dons a “330″ area code, while chrome lace tips give a finished look. The “Rubber City” EXT’s are set to drop on April 25, for more information check out Nike’s website.
Since its release in 1993, the ASICS GEL-Lyte V has seen a number of iterations, the latest of which is this Dark Blue/Light Grey version. Perfect for summer, the shoe’s upper incorporates various blue shades reminiscent of the ocean, offset by pops of white and grey at the heel, lining, midsole and outsole. As always, it features the lightweight construction that the GEL-Lyte V is known for, ensuring maximum comfort and cushioning. These are available now from ASICS stockists including Sneaker Politics for a price of $110 USD.
2015 marks the 10-year anniversary for 24 Kilates and, to mark the occasion, the Barcelona-based establishment has linked up with Diadora for yet another take on the N.9000. Dubbed the “Toro,” the collaborative endeavor pays homage to the beauty of the Spanish bull and the values of class, strength, power and bravery that the animal represents. Crafted in Italy from the highest quality leather, the predominately black shoe sports hairy paneling throughout, coupling the construction with a contrasting red and white midsole, matching custom insoles and embossed branding at the heel.
Limited to just 300 pairs, the “Toro” will be available as an in-store exclusive come Saturday, April 25 before hitting Madrid on April 30 and, subsequently, Bangkok in the near future to celebrate the opening of the upcoming 24 Kilates Bangkok space.
The football boot-inspired Nike Free Hypervenom Mid is getting the hot lava treatment for Spring 2015. This new mostly-black colorway borrows from Nike’s Hypervenom boot, adding a low profile Free 3.0 sole in a vibrant orange-red color for a bold look. The shoe also features the Swoosh logo on the toe, a placement that is commonly seen on many other Nike football cleats, as well as reflective 3M on the upper midsole and at the back lining to complete the look. The Nike Free Hypervenom Mid Black/Hot Lava is available now from Nike and select stockists including Wish ATL for a price of $130 USD.
