NEW KICKS: Air Jordan 11Lab4 "Black"/ DIGAWEL x Onitsuka Tiger Colorado Eighty-Five/ adidas Consortium Techfit "Splinter"/ adidas Originals Superstar White/Grey/Gold JD Sports Exclusive/Nike Tennis Classic AC Woven White/Black
Have a look at the upcoming Air Jordan 11Lab4 “Black” sneakers. The latest rendition of the iconic design has been issued through Jordan Brand’s LAB branch, effectively fusing the Air Jordan 4 silhouette with the same patent leather texture from the Air Jordan 11. The result is a glossy, black patent leather body, matched with a white Nike Air sole heel piece. Retailing for $225 USD, the sneakers will become available worldwide at select stockists, including Wish, beginning April 25.
Onitsuka Tiger, has chosen two designers from its native Japan to celebrate the 30 year anniversary model of the iconic Colorado Eighty-Five runner. The vibrant colorways of the retro silhouette, originally released in 1985, have been put together in association with FACETASM and DIGAWEL (pictured above) and will be released exclusively at Dover Street Market Ginza. Sporting a white mesh base, DIGAWEL’s take on the Eighty-Five sports a grey outsole along with a cream-colored midsole and multicolored suede overlays across the entirety of the upper. Look for the collaborative endeavor to hit DSMG on April 29.
Reserved for select specialty accounts, the adidas Consortium line often produces some of the most well-designed releases in footwear. Although the camouflage trend has died down a bit, adidas Consortium still has a bit to offer. Here we witness a rare sighting of the Techfit silhouette, which draws inspiration from the M90 Splinter camouflage used by the Swedish army. The pixilated, geometric take on classic fatigues is executed with tones of navy, chambray blue, beige and off-white, rendering the sneaker a slick contrast piece for basics. Pick up the Techfit “Splinter” at retailers such as Titolo now.
The adidas Originals Superstar is showing no signs of slowing down this year, as endless iterations are popping up all over the place in various permutation of colors and prints. Here we see the classic silhouette presented in another colorway exclusive to UK-based retailer JD Sports. The mostly white shoe features a grey sole and heel cap, while gold accents in the form of word-marking and Trefoil logos offer just a touch of splash to an otherwise understated aesthetic. These Superstars are exclusively available now from JD Sports for a price of £70 (approximately $105 USD).
A classic Nike tennis shoe is getting a much welcome update to appeal to a new generation. The Tennis Classic AC was originally released back in 1982 as an on-court shoe, and here gets a lifestyle update in the form of the more modern, woven leather upper. It also features a full-length EVA sockliner for lightweight cushioning, a low-profile fit and cushioned midsole for maximum comfort. The midsole and outsole are also fused into one piece for greater durability and a more streamlined look, while the herringbone outsole offers increased traction. These are available now from select Nike retailers including Titolo and the Nike webshop for a price of £110 (approximately $165 USD).
