After tapping Errolson Hugh to resurrect ACG, Nike has once again teamed up with the designer and his label ACRONYM — this time to introduce a collaborative take on the Lunar Force 1. Marking the first-ever footwear collaboration for the brand, the special edition take on the LF1 is executed in premium black suede and couples the construction with a patent leather heel, lateral YKK zipper, a perforated leather tongue, matching lining, and a clean black and white aesthetic. Emphasizing both function and form, ACRONYM’s Lunar Force 1 is set to hit NikeLab locations and Tier Zero NSW accounts like Hanon in limited quantities come April 9.
Last year saw a series of much-hyped Air Jordan 11 Retro Low releases, including the Concord and Infrared 23 colorways, and it looks like the trend will continue in 2015. The “Georgetown” is the next addition the Jordan 11 lineup, and pays tribute to a pivotal moment in Jordan’s career — when he took the game-winning shot in the 1982 NCAA National Championship as his Tar Heels took on the Hoyas, led by freshman Patrick Ewing. The shoe features navy patent leather accents on gray mesh with a clean, contrasting white midsole, as well as boasting the increased quality level that has been promised by Jordan Brand for all new releases, including softer leathers, stronger meshes and overall upped construction standards. The Air Jordan 11 Retro Low “Georgetown” will release this Saturday, April 11, both in-store and online from various Jordan Brand stockists around the world including size? for £130 GBP (approximately $200 USD).
One of the more beloved New Balance models, the 996, sees an earthy colorway for the current spring season. Dubbed the “Dusty Olive,” this particular iteration features a mixed-material upper with nubuck, leather and canvas panels throughout, whilst sitting atop a contrasting red outsole. Additional details include brown leather accents at each heel and tongue, as well as a cushioned ENCAP midsole unit.
