FRESH KICKS: Nike Air Max 90 Anniversary Pack / Nike LeBron 12 NSW Lifestyle "White" / Nike Air Trainer 3 Black/Gum / Nike SB Lunar Stefan Janoski "Obsidian Camo" / Air Jordan 5 Retro "Metallic Silver"
Air Max Day 2015 might be behind us, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t any more Air Max-related goodness coming our way this year. In celebration of the 25th anniversary of the iconic AM90, Nike is releasing a special anniversary pack with two vibrant colorways reminiscent of the era that birthed the shoe. The Flash Lime / Black – Hypr Jd – Infrared features teal patent panels and a shaggy zebra pattern accenting both the heel and toebox, while the Gym Red / Black – Infrared Metallic Gold is dressed up in a retro red velvet. The anniversary pack is available now from select retailers including Overkill.
We’ve already seen a number of colorways in the Nike LeBron 12 Lifestyle released as of late, including an all red version as well as one inspired by LeBron James’ spirit animal, the lion. Now the Lifestyle is back in a pared-down all-white version. While previous colorways played around with colors, textures and materials, this iteration is decidedly more casual, offering smooth synthetic leather with the only additional details being the gold Swoosh, a red outsole and the same back heel tab as LeBron’s signature sneaker. The Nike LeBron 12 NSW Lifestyle “White” is currently available now in Europe, with a global release to follow in the coming weeks.
First seen last December, the Black/Gum edition of Nike Sportswear’s retro take on the Air Trainer 3 has finally arrived for a Spring 2015 drop. Set to be joined by a matching White/Gum edition of the silhouette, the predominately black version of the ’90s trainer comes decked out in a tonal upper with a predominately suede build while contrasts come in the form of a stark white midsole and gum rubber outsole. Finished with a final hit of white to the tongue’s embroidered branding, this clean Air Trainer 3 can be found now at NSW spots like Premier for $120 USD while supplies last.
The Janoski is without a doubt one of Nike SB’s most loved silhouettes, and lucky for fans of the shoe there is never any shortage of adaptations and fresh colorways being released. The latest is the “Obsidian Camo,” which is decked out in a darkened, subtle camouflage print, giving just a bit of flavor to an otherwise classic shoe. The Lunar sole adds a bit of technicality to the traditional comfort, with tonal laces completing the look. The Nike SB Lunar Stefan Janoski “Obsidian Camo” are available now from select retailers including Rakuten for a price of ¥11,000 ($90 USD).
First released in 2000, the Air Jordan 5 Retro “Metallic Silver” is make a return this spring. The mid top basketball classic is outfitted in a crisp all-white leather upper with metallic silver accents taking on the midsole and “23″ heel tab. A reflective tongue continues the model’s bold motifs, and is complemented by an icy blue outsole. Priced at $190 USD, the Air Jordan Retro “Metallic Silver” will be available on April 4 from Nike.
